Scripture:
Psalms 5:1-3
Listen, God! Please pay attention! Can you make sense of these ramblings, my groans and cries? God, I need your help! Every morning you’ll hear me at it again. Every morning I lay out the peaces of my life on your altar.
V 7-8 Here I am you invited guest, it’s incredible! I enter your house here I am, prostrate in your inner sanctum, waiting for directions to get me safely through enemy lines.
V9-10 Every word they speak is a land mine; their lungs breathe out poison gas. Their throats are gaping graves, there tongues slick as mudslides pile on the guilt, God! Let their so-called wisdom wreck them. Kick them out! They’ve had their chance. You welcome us with open arms when we run for cover to you.

OBSERVATION:
I don’t know about you but I have been so distraught over a situation that I could not even utter a word. I would try but the only thing that I could do was cry and wale. I was so heart broken over the issue I was praying for. This verse was such a comfort to me! Even though I could only cry and wale in brokenness the Lord understood me. He knew what I was saying even though I couldn’t say anything. During those times of anguishing prayer I would just know it was going to be ok. The Lord would send the Holy Spirit to comfort me. The Lord would even give me a scripture to pray over the issue or something I was to do to bring me through the enemies lines. Just like verse 8 promises, He also reminds us of who we are dealing with in verses 9-10 they have none of the promises God offers to us! They have been kicked out!
We don’t have to believe the enemies lies in a situation. We have a really big God that fights for us and stands behind every promise he has mad to us, when we allow God to fight our battles we can’t loose!
APPLICATION:
When you are faced with overwhelming grief over a situation God hears your groans and hurt. Trust Him! He will see you through. Stay close to God and listen for his directions and do what he says. He will guide you through the storm and into His place of rest. Just listen, and follow through on what He wants you to do and he will turn things around and turn your mourning into dancing.
PRAYER:
Dear Lord, help me to get through this and show me your love and comfort as I go through_______________. Help me listen and obey your word and do what you ask me to do. Even though it may be really hard to do, give me strength to get through this. Give me your peace during all this. Work everything out for my good. Amen.
