What is a “This Year List?”
It is a written list of things that you choose to do over the next year. Pretty simple right? Well, not so much. When I get ready to do my This Year List I try and get away for a couple of days and work on my This Year List when I work on my goals for the year.
My “This Year List” will include personal things that I plan on doing this coming year and sometimes I will include business plans that I will be working on for the year It will not be business goals, but will be something I will want to do like take a certain class, learn a new skill.
Most of the things on my “This Year List” are simple things that will help me to be a better person, spend more time with my family, and learn new skills I can apply at work and in my everyday like.
Sometimes I will add something to my list that will be a hard task that will take a while to accomplish. One of the things I will be adding to my “This Year List” will be this goal. I will take 100% responsibility for everything that I experience in my life. This will include the level of my achievements, the results I produce, the quality of my relationships, the state of my health, my income, my debts, my feelings. This is not an easy thing to do. In an up coming blog post I will share in more detail about this goal I have.
Here are a few things you can put on your “This Year List.”
- A bad habit I am going to break
- A new Skill I would like to learn
- A place I would like to go and visit
- A book or books I would like to read
- A good deed I would like to do
- A person I would like to be more like
- Letters I would like to write
- New foods or restaurants I would like to try
Your list can be almost endless! The point is to start, and accomplish some of the things you have been putting off doing for all those years.
